LANCELOT Consulting is an independent data and technology consultancy led by Lance Botha and based in Cairns, Queensland. The person who leads the first discussion remains responsible for the agreed work.

The experience behind LANCELOT
Lance brings experience in enterprise data and reporting strategy, Oracle-related data and reporting environments, integration and migration, solution planning, programme delivery and team leadership. That experience is complemented by ongoing hands-on work exploring AI, agentic workflows, automation and product prototypes. The work may call for independent advice, a scoped deliverable, embedded leadership or practical implementation.

How we work
- Start with the actual problem
- Understand the decision, process or technical constraint before choosing a platform.
- Independent by design
- Recommend what fits the organisation rather than defaulting to a particular vendor.
- Make the scope understandable
- Agree objectives, deliverables, responsibilities, access, fees and acceptance criteria before work begins.
- Work with the team
- Collaborate with internal staff and established vendors, document decisions and include practical handover.
- Be responsible with data and AI
- Respect information ownership, security, permissions and the need for human review where an automated outcome matters.
